The smart phone company has gone ahead to reply to criticism coming towards the new Priv from the market, dismissing all negative comparisons as pointless.
BlackBerry Ltd seems to be not taking criticism coming in from the smart phone industry towards its new smart phone Priv lightly. Recently, a startup company called Silent Circle presented its views on the Priv to the press which were not received well by the Canadian company, as the rivals declared the new phone to have a security system which was not only flawed, but it was also very outdated and compared it to the software systems that were rolled out in 2007, deeming it to be rather obsolete. Silent Circle is reportedly working on a phone of their own called the Blackphone and these comments on the Priv were given out by the team members working on the new device of the startup.
The surprising factor being discussed by the analysts in the industry is how BlackBerry business chose not to ignore the snarky remarks of the Blackphone team and went ahead to reply to them. David Kliedermacher, who is the head security officer of the software company, has given his response to the startups comments on the new phone, which is already being considered as the last resort taken by the giant to survive in the smart phone industry.
Silent Circle is not considered as a company which is on BlackBerry’s level currently, but the software giant is still not ready to let any negativity reach its brand new mobile phone, and so in a blog post on Inside BlackBerry, Kleidermacher informed the readers that the company never makes comparisons that are misleading or not correct. This is a clear indication of how the software giant does not wish to be compared in a wrongful manner and will not be tolerating any comments on the new phone which are not even close to the truth. Analysts believe that Silent Circle might actually have gone a little too far in making such a comparison on the security system that the giant has to offer.
On the other hand, Kleidermacher also discussed the insight of the company towards creating the Priv and declared it as the safest Android smart phone in the industry so far launched. He further informed the readers of how the Canadian software developers have put in extra attention in building up Priv’s software and how it should be opted for without thinking twice. Also, he asked the customers to trust the company and promised them that it will not be putting them down whereas the new phone is concerned.

Will Priv Be Enough To Save BlackBerry
The software company has finally rolled out its new smart phone in the United Kingdom which will soon be followed by North America.
BlackBerry Inc is all set to make it big with its newest smart phone in the market which has been named as the Priv, and this phone is the last chance that the software company has said it will take to make itself appear as a hardware manufacturer in the industry. All the previous efforts which have been made in the hardware production and design have turned out to fail quite miserably, which is why it has been hinted by the CEO of the Canadian giant that they might wrap up the mobile phone business if this last phone fails as well. The Priv is the first smart phone by the BlackBerry hardware developers which is going to be run by the Android operating system, which is one of the major reasons why John Chen, the CEO, seems to be positive about the sales of the product. The fact that generally most of the customers in the mobile phone market have been seen opting for either iOS or Android with only the businessmen going for the BB operating system is what has made the software company to think of bringing about some much needed changes to the way products have always been designed by the giant and how this might not be what the falling revenue and earnings figure need at this point in time. Some of the most exciting features of the Priv are its camera, which is offering the customers a massive 18MP to capture their everyday pictures in one of the best resolutions available in the market in a smart phone. There is one thing the giant cannot sacrifice on and that is the traditional QWERTY keyboard that the company has always been praised for. This keyboard has also been given in the cell phone but if the users wish to use their touch screen only and not the physical keyboard, all they have to do is slide it back in, right behind the screen. This feature has specially been made for the convenience of the users so that they do not feel bothered by the old traditional part of the phone at any point. On the other hand, BlackBerry management has announced that the phone will now be made available in the United Kingdom after which it will also be available in North America, where meanwhile orders are being taken of the device beforehand. The official price tag with which the phone is being offered to the market is at $699.
