Google To Come Up With Smart Messenger Service

Facebook M

Google to come up with a messaging service incorporating artificial intelligence.

Sources citing to the Wall Street Journal indicate Alphabet Inc. is now devoted to consider the prospects of coming up with a new mobile-based messaging service that will function using artificial intelligence. According to the article, the Alphabet seeks to integrate software offerings that will enable question/answers within a messaging application along with chatbots.

Apart from that, the sources have also indicated that the current Vice President of the Communications segment at Google, Mr. Nick Fox, has now been heading a whole team for more than a year to come up with this service.

It is still not known that how the service will actually work. However, as per Wall Street Journal “instead of typing a query into Google’s search engine, users will send questions as text messages, to which chatbots will respond.” If the search engine giant actually plays smart, it would actually the make the platform open to development by third party developers.

The developers will help in developing chatbots along with other smart service offerings. The company has already invited third-party developers for TensorFlow and if it does the same for the messaging app, both will complement one another whilst they mature.

Many analysts believe that when smart services mature, the web starts to evolve itself. Artificial Intelligent are destined to become the companions for future technology. Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) have completely revolutionized the world and likely to become an essential web component in future, replacing websites soon.

In future, people will not require going through various portals, but all information will be present under one consolidated platform. Transactions, information, and flow of data are likely to change with artificial intelligence. So we will only be required to refer to the digital assistants and finish the task by simply using artificial intelligence to sort the queries.

Facebook and Apple are those companies that have deeply integrated technology in all their product offerings to come up with smart service. Google is now following the trend and is smoothly coming on this path. Apple is also on a trail to make acquisitions, where it recently acquired VocalIQ – a United Kingdom based Artificial Intelligence platform. This software gives the ability to consumers, to communicate effectively with their smart devices.

Google’s initiative will be an imminent threat to Facebook M, which is a service of similar nature and offerings. Organizations are showing keen interest in this field due to its significance.
