McDonald's might soon launch its All Day Breakfast in India. McDonald’s Corporation is at this point of time studying the possibilities of extending their recent “All Day Breakfast” campaign in the Indian cities. This campaign has been already started in the United States and now has the potential to make its way to other regions across the globe. The company at this point of time is targeting the corporate sector with this initiative giving them the idea of an out of home breakfast without any time constraints.
According to Mr. Rajith Paliath, who is the Vice President of McDonald’s in India encompassing the West & South zones with 213 outlets under his leadership stated, "McDonald's is keen to build out-of-home breakfast as a category in India and at this point evaluating the possibility of All-Day Breakfast campaign here. We would try to build our breakfast along with our McDelivery Service.” McDonald’s menu for breakfast comprises of a healthy and wholesome items that encompass both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items like sausages, eggs, hit cakes, hash browns, pancakes etc. They are also offering a coffee range such as McCafe that is now being served to consumers at the company’s all outlets and franchises from 7am to 11 am in the Indian market. In places that are not very well developed, the breakfast is offered at 9am but ends at 11am. So far, all over India the breakfast menu ends at 11 am and then the regular menu gets served among consumers. The idea behind coming up with an All Day Breakfast campaign in the United States is to actually liberate the breakfast ideology. Despite the company sales have dropped significantly but Mr. Mike Andrea who is the President of McDonald's in United States considers it to be a strategic move. This is considered as a great initiative made by the company since FY09when they actually decided to unveil their McCafe range. As of now, McDonald's has come up with its All Day Breakfast campaign which it is now being marketed on social media platforms like Twitter in the United States where they are talking about the availability of breakfast after 10:30. According to Mr. Rajesh Kumar Maini the General Manager of Corporate Communication stated, "While our focus is on developing awareness of our breakfast offerings and creating demand at this point, in the long term, it would naturally evolve in that direction (All-Day-Breakfast).” So now lets just wait and see when McDonald's actually launches breakfast in India.
